This album is a plea for difference, risk, and sincerity. It reflects my approach as a musician: mixing cultures with the unexpected."Tribute" tells the origins of jazz: Africa, the slave trade, the meeting with European harmony.
"What you want & What you choose" expresses my vision of a more contemporary and rhythmic jazz, keeping the same "Roots" sound.
The other compositions travel between these two worlds.
Deep down, I have infused this record with my musical convictions: To be free and committed.
