CAM Sugar and Decca Records France present a new original anthology centered on the four iconic films from the collaboration of Oscar-winning composer Philippe Sarde, legendary director Claude Sautet, and iconic actress Romy Schneider: four soundtracks, four musical portraits of Romy at four moments in her life, as an artist and as a woman.This exceptional album brings together for the first time these four soundtracks and their songs, including the incandescent: "Chanson d'Hélène" by Romy Schneider and Michel Piccoli, in its French and Italian versions from "Les Choses de la vie"; "La Lettre de Rosalie" by Romy from 'César & Rosalie'; the title song from "Max et les ferrailleurs" by Mouloudji; "Une Histoire Simple" as well as a world premiere recording: "La Maison sur la plage", a lost song written by Sarde and Jean-Loup Dabadie for Schneider in 1972, now gracefully recorded by Alice Taglioni, especially for this project.Listening to these four scores in a row reveals the magical chemistry between an actress, a filmmaker, and a composer: "Through her magnetism and her fragilities," summarizes Philippe Sarde, "Romy is undoubtedly the actress who has touched and inspired me the most."
