In this new album 'Gelosia !' (Jealousy!), countertenor Philippe Jaroussky is accompanied by his ensemble Artaserse. This album takes its dramatic title from two solo cantatas recorded as world premieres. Programmed alongside cantatas by Vivaldi, Handel, and Alessandro Scarlatti, they are the work of the Neapolitan Nicola Porpora and the Venetian Baldassare Galuppi.
