Philippe Chatel took 10 years to prepare this new album with softness and melody. 40 years after his first hit in 1976 J't'aime bien Lili. Through his style inspired by Georges Brassens, Philippe Châtel represents a certain renewal of French song like singer-songwriters such as Alain Souchon or Louis Chédid. His early successes are followed by the musical tale Emilie Jolie. The ambitious record written for his daughter and initially intended for children brings together all the stars of the song: Julien Clerc, Henri Salvador, Françoise Hardy, Sylvie Vartan, Robert Charlebois, Eddy Mitchell, Louis Chédid, Alain Souchon and Laurent Voulzy, Yves Simon, Isabelle Mayreau and even Georges Brassens became a bestseller upon its release, for which he directed a new version in 1997 with Johnny Hallyday, Jacques Dutronc, Etienne Daho, Zazie and Alain Bashung. His career is marked by solo hits that delight gold radio stations (Mr Hyde, Ma lycéenne, Yin-Yang). Definitely, he occupies a special place in French Song for the romanticism and poetry of his work.
