The marriage of guitar and the Roaring Twenties: a fascinating journey through time!During the Roaring Twenties, Paris was both a temporary home for many artists and a formidable creative laboratory, blending jazz, Latin music, and neo-classicism... The guitar benefited from this effervescence, expanding its repertoire and earning its place in the concert hall. Brazilian guitarist Pedro Aguiar summons the figures of this artistic renewal for this album: Villa-Lobos and his indispensable 12 Études, a cornerstone of the repertoire with multiple influences, De Falla, Germaine Tailleferre, but also the Mexican composer Manuel Ponce, for a nod to Bach, or Gustave Samazeuilh. From this program, from which the shadow of the legendary Andrés Segovia is not absent, Pedro Aguiar delivers a precise and fiery interpretation, between virtuosity and inwardness.
