Tracks like "40 Timesthe Rent," "Coddle the Rich," and "Ain't What It Used to Be" feature Lou Reed-esque riffs, while "The Funny Man" and "Pay Us More" explore strange sonic textures. "I Am" and "You Are Absurd" delve into "despondent funk," inspired by the Bowie era. The album concludes with the eponymous track, combining minimalism with melodic moments.
