Mystery Hour, the second album by the band Pavo Pavo, recounts the changes in the relationship between Oliver and Eliza, the two artists in the band, through a feverish, intense, and maximal dream. It draws on cinematic imagery and is rooted in the emotion of a separation after six years as a couple. The album is a way for the duo to move on from their breakup while recreating a role in each other's lives. Musically, this is built with Oliver's very high-pitched melodic synths awkwardly replacing Eliza's soprano voice, while strings cascade to enhance the melodramatic aspect.
