After Wings At The Speed Of Sound, Venus and Mars, Wings Over America, RAM, McCartney, McCartney II and Band on the Run, Pipes of Peace and Tug of War, Flowers in the Dirt is the next album in Paul McCartney's catalogue to receive the deluxe treatment from the Paul McCartney Archive Collection. As with previous releases in this series, Paul personally oversaw all aspects of the project, and the result is, as always, spectacular. Flowers in The Dirt, released in 1989, three years after Press to Play, is his seventh solo album. Elvis Costello co-wrote some of the tracks, and David Gilmour plays guitar on We Got Married. In addition to the original album remastered at Abbey Road, the second and third CDs feature 18 bonus tracks, including demos, B-sides, remixes, single versions and 3 unreleased tracks. The DVD includes music videos and the documentary Put It There. It will be presented in a superb package with a 112-page hardcover book of essays, a 64-page photo book, a notebook of Paul's handwritten notes and the catalogue of Linda McCartney's Flowers In The Dirt exhibition. The vinyl version offers a remastered 180g double LP, containing rare and unreleased recordings and custom engraving. A download voucher is also included.
