When will the blues leave

Description

In 1999, just a year after recording the magnificent reunion album Not Two, Not One, Paul Bley, Gary Peacock, and Paul Motian hit the road to present the highly innovative music of their enchanting trio in concerts on both sides of the Atlantic. When Will The Blues Leave captures a superb performance given by the group during this tour at the Aula Magna in Trevano, Switzerland. It features, in addition to the angular and mysterious free-bop composition by Ornette Coleman that gives the album its title, the piece 'Mazatlan' by Paul Bley, overflowing with energy, the unalterable 'Moor' by Gary Peacock, the tender and melancholic Gershwin melody 'I Loves You Porgy... and many other things... All of this transcended by the subtlety of these great masters of improvisation, constantly giving new shapes and directions to the music.
