Just over a year after the furious debut album "Reach For The Scars", riff machine Dan Lorenzo (Cassius King, Hades, Non-Fiction) proves once again that he simply cannot do without it and presents, with drummer Johnny Kelly (Danzig, Type O Negative, Quit Riot), the second album from their joint project PATRIARCHS IN BLACK. Once again, the duo calls upon a distinguished group of guest musicians. One almost gets the impression that no one can escape the charm of stoner/doom/rock, because on "My Veneration", the guest list reads like a who's who of the rock and metal scene. In addition to Karl Agell (COC), Dave Neabore (Dog Eat Dog), Rob Traynor, John Kosco and Eric J. Morgan, already known from the previous opus, artists such as DMC, Mark Sunshine, Kelly Abe, Gianni Pontillo and many others this time immortalize themselves on the songs that mercilessly escape from the speakers to lodge themselves directly into the listener's ear canals. Each track unfolds its own particular and individual charm, and yet Lorenzo/Kelly manages to make the album sound like a single entity. Entertaining, varied and with an incredible love for rock 'n' roll, including a Queen cover, which is found exclusively on this vinyl version.
