Paolo Bordogna, an exceptional buffo baritone! This recording represents the first opera recital for buffo baritone in fifty years at Decca. Paolo Bordogna, probably the best buffo baritone according to Corriere Della Sera, began to specialize in this vocal genre five years ago, on the advice of Peruvian tenor Ernesto Palacio. His album is a bridge spanning two centuries of arias for this repertoire, covering works from Cimarosa and Mozart to those of Nino Rota. Paolo Bordogna is both an excellent actor and an artist gifted with great vocal agility, as he proves by effortlessly performing both characters in the duet from Don Pasquale. He now performs in the most beautiful venues in Paris, Milan, Turin... and will soon make himself known in the United States, Germany, and Australia.
