9-disc box set including 8 CDs and one Blu-ray video.Contains the albums and concert videos of Pallas released between 1998 and 2007.Originally from Aberdeen, the origins of Pallas date back to 1974, but in the early 1980s, they were at the forefront of the neo-prog movement emerging in the United Kingdom. A UK tour with Marillion allowed them to attract the attention of the EMI Records label, for which they recorded two albums that became classics. After losing their recording contract following the release of the album "The Wedge", Pallas disbanded. After a period of inactivity, the group reappeared in 1998 with Alan Reed (vocals), Graeme Murray (bass, guitar, vocals), Niall Matthewson (guitar), Ronnie Brown (keyboards) and Colin Fraser (drums). Their new album, "Beat The Drum", was warmly received by fans and marked the beginning of a new phase in their career. The double live album "Live Our Lives" was released in 2000, followed a year later by the concept album "The Cross And The Crucible", another critically acclaimed studio album. During the promotional tour, a memorable concert at the Boerderij in the Netherlands, with the special participation of former singer Euan Lowson, was recorded, filmed and released under the title "The Blinding Darkness" (album and video). Another excellent studio album, "The Dreams Of Men", was released in 2005. In October 2007, Pallas performed a concert in Katowice, Poland, which was recorded and filmed, then released in 2008 as a live album and video, "Moment To Moment".This box set includes "Beat The Drum", "Live Our Lives", "The Cross And The Crucible", "The Blinding Darkness", "The Dreams Of Men" and "Moment To Moment", all newly remastered by Ronnie Brown. It also includes an illustrated booklet with an essay by Mike Bentley, expert and collaborator of Pallas.
