The 13-track opus clocks in at over an hour and Ozzy is reunited with Grammy®-winning producer Andrew Watt, who helmed 2020's gold-certified Ordinary Man. This time around, they welcomed the greatest backing band of Ozzy's more than five-decade career on the record. The list of collaborators includes Eric Clapton, Tony Iommi (on his first track with Ozzy outside of Black Sabbath!), Queens of the Stone Age's Joshua Homme, Pearl Jam's Mike McCready, Red Hot Chili Peppers' Chad Smith, Guns N' Roses' Duff McKagan, Metallica's Robert Trujillo, and Zakk Wylde who has been Ozzy's collaborator on stage and in the studio since 1988. In addition, Patient Number 9 features the last recorded performance of the late Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters, Chevy Metal, and Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders.
