Instead, there is room for curiosity: several pieces by Michael Praetorius, the polyphonic and enchanting \"Videte Miraculum\" by Thomas Tallis, and a few rarities from composers we wouldn't expect to find in this repertoire, such as Holst (Lullay my Liking) or Vaughan Williams (The truth sent from above). The Gesualdo Six consist of two countertenors, a tenor, a baritone, and two basses, creating an ideal balance and fusion of timbres, with a rich palette of colors, intelligently measured. The only caveat is that the character of the pieces is not varied enough, leading to boredom during continuous listening. Upon re-listening, one will enjoy picking out a few pieces from this collection rich in unexpected and rarely heard wonders.
