In trio formations, as a soloist and fellow musician of the Singers Unlimited - that is how piano giant Oscar Peterson has appeared so far on reissues from the MPS catalog. In the Ambassadors for MPS series, the Canadian now reveals another fascinating side with a 1969 recording selected by Till Brönner: on 'Motions & Emotions', we discover him with jazz versions of popular pieces from Pop, Easy Listening and Songwriting as the protagonist of a quartet of longtime companions, embedded in rich orchestral colors. It was painted by a guild wizard, the great Claus Ogerman, who had previously worked for Tom Jobim.
