Guitarist and songwriter, Olivier Libaux began his career in the 80s with the pop group "les Objets". This was followed by two musical comedy albums, "l'héroïne au bain" (2003) and then "Imbécile" (2007), which brought together artists such as Philippe Katerine, Helena Noguerra, and JP Nataf. Olivier is also a co-founder of the group "Nouvelle Vague" with Marc Collin. For over 15 years and about ten albums, they have been exploring a selection of tracks from their favorite New Wave groups of the 80s. In parallel, Olivier released in 2013 under his label Music for Music Lovers, the album "Uncovered Queens of the Stone Age". A big fan and admirer of Josh Homme and the band since its beginnings, Olivier presented the project to them in 2011. Once their approval was obtained, he gathered 12 of his favorite female singers from around the world, and surrounded himself with his faithful collaborators, Frédéric Carayol on mixing, Raphaël Chassin on percussion, and finally Greg Calbi for mastering. He thus created 12 extremely personal versions of the songs from "Queens of the Stone Age", a new demonstration of the beauty of these tracks and the talent of their authors. Olivier Libaux passed away in September 2021 at the age of 58. This year we celebrate the 10th anniversary of this album.
