Founded in 1998, OKKERVIL RIVER was initially a trio, led by songwriter WILL SHEFF, the true soul of the band, accompanied by ZACH THOMAS on bass and SETH WARREN on drums. The band asserted its style, borrowing from both folk and indie rock, and 2005 marked their breakthrough with the release of *Black Sheep Boy*, an album of refined, brilliant, and poignant songwriting, and its subsequent EP, *Black Sheep Boy Appendix*, the following year. To celebrate the album's 10th anniversary, the Jagjaguwar label is releasing a box set comprising the original album, the *Black Sheep Boy Appendix* EP, and a third bonus album including exclusive, unreleased tracks.
