Description

His real name is Jun Seba, Nujabes is one of the most internationally recognized Japanese artists and has a devoted fan community. He was the producer of two labels, T Records and Guiness Records, as well as a production company called Hyde-Out Productions, an independent label that allowed him to release his two cult albums: Metaphorical Music (2003) and Modal Soul (2005). Nujabes' music is influenced by cool jazz and combines jazz with abstract hip hop. Nujabes tragically passed away in 2010 as a result of a car accident in Tokyo. Metaphorical Music is Nujabes' first solo album, released in 2003. It blends hip hop and instrumental jazz, which will establish Nujabes' undeniable legend. Artists Shing02, Substantial, and Five Deez Cise Starr contribute to the project. Notable samples include incredible works by Pharoah Sanders, Miles Davis, Baden Powell, and even Francis Lai.
