'You've Got To Learn' is a previously UNRELEASED live album, recorded in 1966 at the Newport Jazz Festival. This unknown and unreleased recording demonstrates how unique an experience it was to see and hear Nina perform live. The Newport Jazz Festival frequently invited Nina Simone. When she took to the stage on July 2, 1966, the audience already knew they were in for a treat, from the breathtaking opening track ‘You've Got To Learn’ to the swinging ‘Mississippi Goddam’. The audience didn't want her to leave the stage, clamored for more, and was rewarded with a stunning version of ‘Music For Lovers’.
