Discover the new album from the celebrated Swedish trombonist, recorded in an exceptional venue. Nils Landgren's international career began 40 years ago when he received a call from the great master Thad Jones, inviting him to join his new big band project "Ballof Fire" in Milan, Italy. Following the lockdown during which the trombonist was stuck at home in Skillinge, Sweden, from March 2020, the musician was able to put together a solo album, a feat he had never accomplished before. He then recorded by himself in a church with magnificent acoustics not far from his home. He describes it as such: "Such a beautiful sound, making my trombone's sound fly through time and space. Beatrice and I looked at each other in silence, knowing that this could become something special." All the tracks hold special meaning for the Swedish artist, whether they are hymns he sang in church as a child or simply covers.
