To celebrate the group's 30th anniversary, Nils Landgren Funk Unit present Raw, a danceable album brimming with irresistible grooves!The year 1994 marked the birth of Funk Unit. After 30 years of albums and tours, it was necessary to celebrate this anniversary by recording a new project in a special place. So this new album came to life in the studio of two friends of Nils Landgren in Palma de Mallorca. As soon as they arrived on the island, the team immersed themselves in setting up the studio, eager to capture the first notes of the tracks they had each composed beforehand. The demos from the band members were all listened to and modified to perfectly reflect the spirit of Funk Unit. Quickly, the album began to take shape, notably thanks to the talent of sound engineer Shades and the commitment of the band. To finance this memorable recording, Nils Landgren Funk Unit gave concerts on site after the long days in the studio. These special moments allowed them to preview some of the compositions in front of an audience and get direct feedback on the new tracks. Then the stay in Palma came to an end, leaving behind a feeling of deep satisfaction. Only Magnum Coltrane Price stayed behind to finalize the album's mixing with Shades. The result?
