In 1983, with Dave Kusworth (member of The Dogs D'Amour, TV-Eye, and The Bounty Hunters), he formed The Jacobites, who would release the album *Jacobites* in 1984, an EP *Shame For The Angels* (1984), and the record *Robespierre's Velvet Basement* in 1985. The latter record reached number 1 on the German independent charts, and Nikki Sudden moved to Germany.
