Piaf do Brasil
Description
Voyage to the imaginary land of the little sparrow Piaf Nicola Són tells the story of Edith Piaf and her repertoire in the values of Brazil: no exoticism, neither at the start nor at the arrival. We hear neither the grand accordion gestures of faubourien expressionism, nor the flights of yellow and green feathers that some Europeans believe summarize Brazil. Nicola is French, a child of the 9th arrondissement of Paris, but also a bit Brazilian by the force of things. Starting in 2010, he recorded three delicious albums in Brazil that traverse the infinite palette of rhythms of the immense country. Brazilian musicians, Franco-Lusophone lyrics. For the project on Edith Piaf, Nicola called on his friends and accomplices from Casuarina, notably Daniel Montes, guitarist and arranger of the group. Under his direction, Piaf's classics then slip into very Brazilian forms - a jongo with colors of funk carioca for Padam, padam, a carimbó for Non, je ne regrette rien, a Northeastern rhythm for La Vie en rose.Buy Piaf do Brasil at the best price
