D'ICI ET D'AILLEURS

Description

THE NEW ALBUM FEATURING BENABAR, FRANCOIS MOREL, FRANCOIS BERLEAND… Nicolas Peyrac says about "D’Ici et d’ailleurs": "The Moody Blues album Days of Future Passed had deeply impressed me with the power of its songs, and especially because there was no downtime, no stop between the songs, instrumental passages and spoken texts, and I surely still had this idea in my head when Philippe Lefèvre's wife, a brilliant world music musician, sent me three of his albums... I decided to meet him to tell him how much I loved his world, his compositions, his arrangements, and I knew that if I wanted to, it would be with him that I would try to make a concept album in the spirit of the Moody Blues album that I had loved so much. A crazy idea perhaps, but a number of other madmen took up the challenge with me, whether it be my musicians, Bruno Dupont, the sound engineer and owner of the Studio du Bras d'Or in Boulogne-sur-Mer, or the guests, Benabar, François Morel, François Berléand, my two daughters, my wife and of course the captivating music of Philippe Lefèvre to make the link between our worlds. It took us a year, but once the order of the tracks was defined, it was just a matter of trials, durations, placement. I went to refine the album at the Studio du Bras d'Or with real drums and beautiful Hammond organs that brought an essential warmth and texture. This album alone could summarize my musical and literary writing journey, and it is also a true sharing of emotions and desires around the themes of tolerance, rescue, a planet in peril, human rights and peace. An album that exists only thanks to the absolute trust of people I deeply love." Nicolas Peyrac will be on tour this autumn to perform these songs on stage and to tell and explain why these songs came into being…
