"Attending a New Order concert is like experiencing the history of British cultural life over the past few decades at high speed, while marveling at the number of big hits and great songs they've churned out over the years." Irvine WelshAfter 10 years out of the studio, the six Mancunians are back with Music Complete. This ninth album - tenth if you count Lost Sirens released in 2013 - is pure NEW ORDER, blending Dance Music codes with New Wave. The band members have always been fond of participating in numerous 'side projects' and thriving on collaborations with different artists. So it's no surprise to find various artists here who have crossed paths with NEW ORDER over the past few years.Iggy Pop, Elly Jackson (La Roux), and Brandon Flowers (The Killers) have lent their voices to different tracks, while Tom Rowlands (Chemical Brothers) produced two of them.Despite the changes - new collaborators, new members, new former members - there's also a certain continuity. Peter Saville, Factory Records' artist-in-residence and the man responsible for NEW ORDER's avant-garde visual identity over the past 35 years, has once again handled the album cover.
