This brand new version will be available in limited CD Mediabook editions and for the first time in Double Vinyl Gatefold format (White). \"We have always thought that CARNIVAL was the only album where the recording, mixing, and mastering did not bring the final result closer to what we initially intended in the writing. Thus, when Edel expressed interest in licensing and reissuing the album, we discovered four associated tracks (B-sides and unreleased songs) to add and saw an opportunity to 'reimagine' the album as a whole. We are aware that it is very dangerous for any band to 'go back' (and particularly unusual for us) - so we established an absolute rule that we would not re-record anything and we would ask Lee Smith, who mixed From Here and Winter, to remix it using only the original multi-tracks, with minimal involvement from us. Some songs have changed very little, others a lot.
