At the crossroads of electro and alternative pop, *Orlando*, Nelson Beer's new EP, is a fabric of electronica-house, downtempo, ambient, trip-hop experiments... and pop meditations for one or more voices. It was conceived as an archive of sounds accompanied by lyrics that resonate like introspective liturgies of the contemporary world. Alternating between haunting pop (on the track "Orlando") and danceable pop ("Vesper"), atmospheric at times ("Forma," "Purpa") or aquatic (with the synthetic arpeggios of "Water and Land"), the *Orlando* EP is a constellation of textures. A feat by Nelson Beer that is reminiscent of Björk, Brian Eno, Nicolas Jaar, and Oklou.
