70s Rock Revivalist Unveils Sophomore Album
Chicago-native singer, songwriter, and pianist Neal Francis is back with the release of his sophomore album, In Plain Sight, due out November 5th via ATO/[PIAS]. At the crossroads of psychedelic rock, blues, and 70s pop – Neal Francis and his band members recorded In Plain Sight entirely on tape – mainly in a church – and the resulting songs are dreamy and thoughtful, rooted in the rock and soul sound that led critics to compare him to legends like Allen Toussaint and Dr. John. In Plain Sight was notably mixed by Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, Tame Impala, MGMT).
