Description
Recorded in 1979, 'Saudades' can be considered a kind of culmination in the work of Brazilian percussionist Nana Vasconcelos. In this sense, he realizes his long-cherished dream of hearing the sounds of his berimbau immersed in an orchestral context. This was made possible thanks to the talent of Egberto Gismonti, not only as an arranger for the string orchestra but also as a soloist and co-composer.
