2 Albums on 1 CD! Ioanna Moúschouri, known as Nana Mouskouri, was born in Chania, Greece, on October 13, 1934. Her singing career includes over 200 albums and singles in 10 different languages: Greek, French, English, German, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Hebrew, Welsh, Mandarin Chinese, and Corsican. She became known throughout Europe with the song "The White Rose of Athens," which marked her first record sold over a million copies. In 1963, she represented Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest. Her friendship with composer Michel Legrand led to the recording of the theme song for the Oscar-nominated film "Les Parapluies de Cherbourg." "I Sing with You Freedom," recorded in 1981, is perhaps her biggest success to date, performed in at least five languages. Two of her early albums are featured in this edition: What Now My Love - Nana Mouskouri in New York, produced by Quincy Jones and Nana Mouskouri. It also includes "Roses blanches de Courfou," a French version of her hit "The White Rose of Athens," of which the English version has been added as a bonus.
