Najoua Belyzel has always had a great admiration for Marie Laforêt. In 2007, Najoua recorded a cover of "Viens, viens" with the secret hope of being able to make a full album of covers of her best songs. This project could not come to fruition at that time... Besides a certain affiliation in her vocal signature that brings her closer to Marie in her heart, and a huge interest in the singer and her repertoire, Najoua, like many people, was deeply affected by the passing of Marie Laforêt in November 2019. Since then, this desire to pay tribute to her, which has never left her, makes even more sense today. The album Éternelle includes 10 tracks and was recorded and produced by Jean-François Berger (Jean-Baptiste Guegan, Sylvie Vartan, Mylène Farmer, Johnny Hallyday, Florent Pagny, Marc Lavoine…). It was made in the old-fashioned way while offering a modern sound, thus providing an extraordinary production to properly pay tribute to this icon of French song!
