The aptly named 'Too Hot To Stop' by Bar-Kays sets dancefloors ablaze with its brass and relentless groove, while the Scottish Average White Band, associated with Ben E King, offers a very square funk filled with brass and funky guitars. With a slightly more sophisticated production, Cameo's 'Funk Funk' reflects the evolution of sound that would bridge the gap between the 70s and 80s.
