Antal, founder of the Amsterdam record store Rush Hour Records & Store and renowned DJ, known for his international tours and eclectic sets blending house, techno, rare funk, soul and jazz, presents a personal selection from the historic label Timeless Records. For "Timeless Presents From The Archives", he carefully chose gems from the 1974-1994 period by iconic jazz figures such as Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, Pharoah Sanders, Carter Jefferson, Gary Bartz, Woody Shaw and many others. "I want to thank the Wigt family for allowing me to explore their catalog in depth to compile a selection of my favorite jazz tracks. Their passion for jazz and independent labels has deeply inspired me as a DJ and record store owner. A great track remains a great track, no matter its era or place of creation," says Antal. With this double album, Antal shares his love for modal and spiritual jazz, celebrating a pivotal period in jazz and creating an essential for collectors, DJs and newcomers. The album "Timeless Presents From The Archives 1974-1994" comes in a gatefold sleeve, enhanced with notes by Antal and illustrations by Dirk-Jan Deckwitz. A commemorative sticker for the 50th anniversary of Timeless Jazz is affixed to the protective sleeve.
