In August 1965, amidst social unrest, the legendary soul label Stax organized two evenings at the 5-4 Ballroom in Los Angeles, hosting artists such as Rufus Thomas, Booker T., William Bell, and Carla Thomas. These concerts were first released in 1991. Titled Stax Revue: Live in '65, this new augmented edition contains additional tracks recorded at Club Paradise in Memphis and has been remastered by Joe Tarantino.
