Plants VS Zombies

Description

Plants vs Zombies, with its easy-to-understand gameplay and whimsical, morbid aesthetic, has established itself as a cultural icon. Its popularity has naturally given rise to a large number of memes, riffs, nods, and celebrations, including a now-iconic musical motif from one of today's biggest pop stars. Billie Eilish's track "Bad Guy" features a groovy bass line that echoes the main theme of Plants vs. Zombies; an apt match, given the song's eerie playful spirit, a vibe very much present in PvZ. At iam8bit, we love great homages. Even more, we love homages in return, where respect for great artists comes full circle in a well-defined loop. It warms our hearts. So, when we teamed up with the incredible folks at PopCap Games and EA Games for our 2xLP Plants vs Zombies, a brilliant idea emerged: Why not release a new single that winks at Billie's iconic song? Hence the Plants vs. Zombies: Bad Zombies 7" single. It features a brand new, previously unreleased single performed by The String Revolution and Tina Guo, aptly titled "Bad Zombie." You absolutely need to hear it. For something this amazing, we had to go all out. That's why the record is pressed on eco-friendly purple vinyl and features a special zoetrope-style center label that comes to life as it spins. This eco-friendly vinyl is fully recycled, which is good for the plants. It also means there will be very groovy variations for each record; no two colors will be exactly alike. For the album cover, we worked with Sean Keeton to pay homage to the cover of Billie's "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?" And to ensure it has that PvZ signature, it even glows in the dark! Folks, this one is special. Don't miss it.
