On April 1, 2020, the Cinémathèque Française crowns and celebrates the immense Louis de Funès with a retrospective and an original exhibition. In synergy with this event, the Ecoutez le cinéma! collection is proud to present two exceptional vinyl records and a 4CD box set.

Among the great ambassadors of French comedy, Louis de Funès is the one whose aura has never faded among new generations, the one whose films continue to make 21st-century children laugh. This exceptional 4-CD box set is the most ambitious discographic project ever dedicated to Louis de Funès. The concept: to chronologically bring together iconic De Funès scores in a single anthology. In five hours of music, all the great films are featured: Fantômas, les Gendarmes, Le Corniaud, La Grande vadrouille, Oscar, La Folie des grandeurs, Les Aventures de Rabbi Jacob… with the energetic and very rhythmic scores of Georges Delerue, Michel Magne, Raymond Lefèvre, Michel Polnareff, and Vladimir Cosma.
Louis de Funès vol. II, Film Music 1963-1981 (LP) New Release
Following the success of the first volume, here is a second compilation that brings together major De Funès soundtracks, often unreleased on vinyl: Pouic-pouic, Oscar, Le Tatoué, Le Gendarme se marie, Jo... Energetic and electric themes by Raymond Lefèvre, Georges Delerue, or Vladimir Cosma. A musical portrait of a pyrotechnic genius of comedy.
La Folie des grandeurs / Michel Polnareff (LP) New Release
Between crazy western cavalcades and flamenco interpreted by Yves Montand, here is Polnareff's cult score re-released on 33 rpm, with new mastering, freshly done from the original master tape. Timeless and essential.
