The LateNightTales collection was created in 2001. The basic idea: to offer a recognized artist the opportunity to select their favorite tracks (influences, favorites...) and to complete the set with an exclusive cover, created for the occasion. After 25 compilations (Zero 7 /Air /Groove Armada /Arctic Monkeys/the cinematic orchestra/trentemoller /MGMT /belle and sebastian .) and over 1 million albums sold, LateNightTales is proud to present the new volume METRONOMY. The group Metronomy, an English band led by the brain Joseph Mount, has been praised by the press and the public with their 3rd album released in 2011 (“The English Riviera,” sold over 50,000 copies in France). They have the honor of mixing the 29th volume of the prestigious Late Night Tales series! An eclectic selection that takes the fascinated listener to the smooth Outkast or Tweet to start the journey gently, drifting to electro legends (Autechre, Two Lone Swordsmen) or quirky rappers (Dr Octagon, SA-RA Creative Partners), before pulling out the vintage keyboards (Geneva Jacuzzi or Tonto's Expanding Head Band) for a true weightless film that ends in the comforting arms of friends Herman Düne or Cat Power... In the meantime, the group had the good idea to remind everyone of the importance of “Eye in the Sky” by Alan Parsons Project and to grant themselves, for the mandatory cover, a piece from our national Jean Michel Jarre (Hypnose). A rich and fascinating selection, ideal for the warm evenings of an Indian summer on the French Riviera.
