Here is the highly anticipated volume 4 of the "HOT SAUCE" compilations dedicated to British labels linked to Trojan between 1965 and 1975. 'HOT SAUCE VOLUME 4' features exceptional original tracks of Rocksteady, Boss Reggae and early Reggae ("Reggay"), including rare songs, overlooked gems, hidden treasures and a few hits. The labels featured on this fourth volume are Amalgamated, Big Shot, Duke, Explosion, Grape, High Note, JJ Records, Treasure Isle and Trojan. The tracks were selected based on their musical interest first, their rarity and their complementarity. These tracks are all exceptional, "killer tracks", there is no "filler". Special attention was paid to the sequencing (or "mixing") of the tracks so that the album builds pleasantly and progressively, generally starting with the Rocksteady tracks on side A and the tracks from the 70s on side B. The "HOT SAUCE" series is a musical journey through Trojan and its labels, showcasing the diverse musical genres and exceptional artists of Jamaican Reggae. Since the "Tighten Up" series of the early 70s, no compilation has truly explored these labels in depth on vinyl.
