Long kept confidential, the productions of the New Zealand label World Resources are gathered in Fully Nowhere: A World Resources Archive, published in 2026 by World of Echo. This compilation brings together recordings released mainly during the 1990s on rare 7-inch records and albums that are now hard to find, along with several unreleased archives and a recent piece from the Destrifan project. The collection traces the journey of a community of musicians revolving around the experimental trio Surface of the Earth, between drone, noise pop, fragmented electronics, and free improvisation, in a chronological order that highlights the evolution of this scene in Wellington. This edition restores an unknown aspect of the New Zealand avant-garde and gives welcome visibility to a catalog whose influence far exceeded the confidentiality of its original pressings.
