To mark mk2's 50th anniversary, Fip, the public music radio station of the Radio France group, and mk2, an independent cinema company and global leader in auteur cinema, are partnering with Warner Music France to offer a unique experience: a musical journey through mk2 films selected by Fip. This exceptional collaboration has resulted in a unique compilation available from November 15th in 4LP, 2LP, and 2CD box sets. This project is more than just a compilation: it's an invitation to journey through melodies that have marked the history of cinema. Carefully curated by Fip's programmers, drawing inspiration from the prestigious mk2 collection, and in close collaboration with Warner Music France, this compilation offers a musical reinterpretation of films from around the world, including classics and rarities. Instrumental or electronic, classical, pop, jazz, or rock, each chosen soundtrack excerpt tells another vision of cinema and music, awakening a particular emotion and inviting discovery. Fip and mk2 honor artists who, from the margins to the center, offer a unique vision of the world, prioritizing the discovery of new talent over the comfort of the mainstream.
