Warner Classics and Radio Classique sign this new project dedicated to Spain, whether through Spanish composers (Albeniz, Granados, De Falla, Rodrigo, Sarasate...) or works inspired by Spain from composers of all nationalities (Debussy, Ravel, Rimsky-Korsakov...). Spain has been a source of musical inspiration especially at the end of the 19th century and in the 20th century. While keeping a part of their folklore (Flamenco, gypsy music), Spanish composers created sorts of "musical schools" that followed the rise of neighboring French music. Renowned artists (Renaud Capuçon, Bertrand Chamayou, Martha Argerich, Riccardo Muti...) make this double album an original, appealing, and accessible initiative.
