Echoes Of The Gospel

Description

Founded in 1951 by Ernie Young, an independent record store owner and radio show promoter in Nashville, Tennessee, Nashboro recorded some of the most powerful gospel titles of that period. Although initially created to meet the urgent local demand for gospel, Nashboro quickly gained national acclaim for its curatorial prowess (under the direction of Rev. Morgan Babb and the gospel group “The Radio Four”) and for its characteristic production style. The slightly reverberated and clear sound of a Nashboro record is undeniable. Third Man is now proud to shine a broader light on the magnificent Echoes of the Gospel and the Detroit-Nashville link it embodies. The tracks are sourced directly from the original 1967 stereo mixes and are remastered by Warren Defever.
