10 years already! Ten years that Bordeaux Rock has continued its work of showcasing the local scene through its festival and label. A varied discography that, across 21 releases, traces the city's rich musical past and present. To illustrate and celebrate this anniversary, we had the idea of releasing, with the invaluable collaboration of the legendary record store Total Heaven, a compilation featuring the 10 bands that have been shaking up the local rock scene since 2004. A collector's LP, limited to 300 copies, featuring unreleased tracks, rarities (and even a pre-release song), an explosive concentration of the Bordeaux scene. The vinyl format has its constraints, including very limited time. We would have liked to include more artists, as we have enjoyed, followed, and supported so many bands over these past ten years. It's therefore an inevitably subjective and partial choice (and we can tell you, it was difficult!), but nevertheless representative of the Bordeaux musical landscape, especially since most members of these bands play in other equally exciting formations. The tracklisting spans all aesthetics and provides a broad overview that once again proves Bordeaux remains a rock stronghold. A piece of advice: take care of this still-relevant snapshot, a testament to a scene that is more alive than ever.
