27 lullabies and traditional nursery rhymes from Ireland, collected by Nathalie Soussana, to evoke emotions or dance, and discover a bit of the soul of this country where music is everywhere! This new album from the "Nursery Rhymes of the World" collection highlights traditional Irish music, tinged with joy, melancholy, History, myths, and popular customs. This music, rich in sounds and stories, is full of hope, warmth, and pride. It moves or makes you dance, but it always brings people closer together...Performed here by beautiful voices of Irish music, such as those of Caitriona Canavan, Deirbhile Ni Bhrolchain, or John Spillane. The instrumentation and arrangements by Jean-Christophe Hoarau showcase traditional instruments: Celtic harp, fiddle, flute, tin whistle, Irish mandolin, bodhran, four-string banjo... The Irish cultural institute in Paris actively collaborated in the development of this work. The album will be released just before St. Patrick's Day, which celebrates on March 17 the patron saint of Ireland and gives rise each year in France to numerous festive and cultural events.
