Alexander's feast or the power of music

Description

«Alexander's Feast or The Power of Music» is one of the greatest works of George Friderich Handel, composed in homage to Saint Cecilia. Thus, this album features a complete recording of this ode inspired by the English choral tradition by the Vox Orchester & Chor under the direction of Lorenzo Ghirlanda. The young recruits from around the world who make up the Vox Orchester have always specialized in performances of historical works and continue in this vein with this work specific to the English baroque.
