Mourn

Mourn is a very young quartet formed by Jazz Rodríguez Bueno and Carla Pérez Vas, both born in 1996 in Catalonia, Spain. The duo, inspired by Sleater-Kinney, PJ Harvey, Sebadoh, and The Pixies, began by publishing their raw, acoustic compositions on YouTube. These recordings quickly caught the attention of Spanish label Sones Records, and it was in early 2014 that Mourn (now a quartet) emerged from the studio armed with an Indie Rock album that continues to astound those who have had the chance to hear it. The self-confidence emanating from such a young band is astonishing. The album's recording was filmed, and you can see Jazz (18), Carla (18), Leia (15), and Antonio (18) effortlessly performing tracks with extraordinary ease and energy.
