Second album from the titans of Florida death metal, one of the most influential bands in death metal. After their album Altars Of Madness, the four musicians of Morbid Angel had to live up to the expectations placed upon them. So with no apparent changes, meaning with the same line-up, in the same studio (the famous Morrisound in Tampa) and with the same man (Tom Morris) at the mixing board, Morbid Angel recorded Blessed Are The Sick in 1991. Blessed Are The Sick marks a new era for Morbid Angel. Many changes took place, whether in the vocals, the production, or the compositions. They focus more on power and slightly abandon the unhealthy side that could be found on Altars Of Madness.
