MOLASSESS came into being following a commission for the 2019 edition of the Roadburn Festival, five years after Selim Lemouchi's death ended THE DEVIL'S BLOOD's frenzied dance. The invitation inspired new bursts of creativity. Farida Lemouchi, Selim's sister and THE DEVIL'S BLOOD's possessed singer, forged new ties with her former cohorts: Oeds Beydals, Job van de Zande and Ron van Herpen (ASTROSONIQ), Bob Hogenelst (BIRTH OF JOY), and Matthijs Stronks (DONNERWETTER). Now, with the band's debut album, MOLASSESS embarks on a new path.
