EMPIRE OF DUST

Description

We enter *Empire of Dust* through a door. The one designed by artist Mar Galatea on the cover of MOJO SAPIENS' first album. While the album blends blues and hip-hop tones, some guitar riffs connect it to rock. Above all, the three musicians draw on the purest American tradition by making the nostalgic harmonica resonate. Suddenly, we are plunged into the landscapes of Utah: its scorching sun and red cliffs. Eli's rap answers Victor's singing. Two voices that correspond to those in our heads during the toughest times. A track that reminds us that light springs from darkness, that life re-emerges from chaos. That moments of storms are sometimes necessary to appreciate a calm sea. "I Quit" is also an invitation to disconnect from an overwhelming daily life and an ever-increasing frantic pace. The album ends with a message of hope with "Everytime I'm High," where the lyrics remind us: "Dark days? Light comes after."
