Modest Mouse has confirmed the release of their new album after eight years, "Strangers to Ourselves", by sending to privileged fans the vinyl of their new single "Lampshades on Fire". Modest Mouse will be touring in 2015 and will be in Europe. Modest Mouse came to the public's attention in 2004 with the album "Good News for People Who Love Bad News", a surprising mainstream success for a band that has never compromised its artistic integrity. Founded in 1993 by Isaac Brock at the age of 18, Modest Mouse's discography includes "The Fruit That Ate Itself", "This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About" and "The Lonesome Crowded West". "Good News for People Who Love Bad News" has sold over 2 million copies worldwide. In 2006 the band recruited Johnny Marr, legendary guitarist of The Smiths, to record the album "We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank", which reached #1 on the Billboard album charts.
